kinda diggin sand as an accessory. kristell reached out to me to be her wedding photographer for her big day next year, and i was over the moon. their wedding is in northern california, but when i heard that they live on oahu and i’d be there in october for another wedding, i was soooo stoked. we had to make it work! somehow the stars aligned and steven got out of work, so we were able to create magic. i think we experienced every type of weather within the span of this one shoot. we drove through rain, saw a rainbow as we pulled up to the beach, got out and almost died from heat exhaustion (ok maybe that was just me) and were huddled in the shade trying to get away from the killer humidity every 5 minutes. afterwards, we headed to a lil cul-de-sac of food trucks and got some fish tacos under the hawaiian night sky. i really really really hate the word “clients” because they’re so much more to me than that
